The back body looks premium with the pure matte black color mixed with the shiny and classy silver color of the stand. The display looks stunning but not unfamiliar with three classic bezel-less monitors’ sides.
However, I still notice a thin gap on the bezel when turning on the screen, but it won’t affect the product’s visual beauty. The 15-pound weight is not too heavy but still delivers excellent firmness and stability.
Dell always stands out for the excellent build quality in its products, and the P3421W is no different. When the monitor gets to my hand, every component and part is intact and flawless without a minor dent or scratches.
Speaking of the monitor stand, this component on Dell P3421W is very beautiful and neat, with the curved sides perfectly matching the curved monitor. It also feels solid and sturdy, providing more confidence in the usage process.
Of course, you can make the swivel, tilt, pivot, and height adjustments to the stand to suit your sitting posture. There is also a tiny wire hole to help me set up the monitor neatly and save more space.
Connectivity And Audio
All the control keys are integrated into a single joystick on the back of the screen, helping me conveniently tweak the screen’s parameters. Connectivity options are plentiful on this product, which even exceeds my expectations.
You’ll get the most advanced DisplayPort 1.2 and HDMI 2.0 for video signals and a high-end USB-Type C slot compatible with DP Alt Mode. The USB-C input can transmit 65-watt of power in charge.

However, I always prefer using a separate pair of speakers to get the highest audio quality. Moreover, the speakers cannot produce good audio when pressed on such a thin and space-limited monitor.
Performance And Display
With 99% of sRGB color reproduction and 1.07 billion colors, Dell P3421 delivers a vibrant and accurate visual experience. The display is also bright and can cope with ambient light effectively with 300cd/m2 brightness.
The curved screen provides a 178-degree viewing angle, which is very wide and impressive. Hard-Coating 3H anti-glare layer coat also helps reduce eye strain and glare in the usage process.
The WQHD resolution (3440 x 1440 pixels) is high, but it’s not uncommon on ultrawide screens. Besides the high resolution, Dell P3421 shows no weak spot with excellent details, sharpness, and a fast response rate of 5ms.
However, at the default rate of 8 ms, I did notice the ghosting effect when playing fast and responsive games.
