Highlight Features Of BenQ RL2755-B
BenQ ZOWIE RL2755 27 inch 1080p Gaming Monitor
I view monitors as one of the most crucial aspects contributing to user experience. I feel that BenQ did a good job optimizing this display’s gaming performance via its setup, design, and assembly.
The BenQ RL2755-B may not seem tempting at first with its 1920 x 1080p resolution and 60 Hz of refresh rate. Still, the image and gaming experience soon changed my expectations.
Before dwelling on the in-depth details, let’s first take a look at the monitor’s fundamental speculations.

Design
I expected the box to be heavier when it was delivered. The screen looks quite big and firm, making it feels very solid on the hand. There are two pieces that can be assembled into a monitor stand.
The assembling process is much easier than I thought. The stand is connected using a twistable hand screw. The screen is not too heavy at 21.1 pounds in weight, which should be comfortable enough for me to carry it around.
The dimension of the screen is well balanced with the height and width perfectly fit my eyesight. Though it’s not bezel-less, the minimum bezel thickness won’t affect your gaming experience much.
On the back of the device is the beautiful matte finish with an attractive BenQ logo on its top. There are glossy holes in the center area used for mounting. I notice a little red tip on the right side.
Pull out that tip, and you’ll get a hook used for hanging the headset and microphone, which is really convenient for hard-core gamers.
Noticeable Features
You’ll get a pure 27-inch viewing area of Full HD images and picture quality, maximizing at 1920 x 1080p resolution and 76 Hz in refresh rate. The 16:9 aspect ratio is expected since the monitor is optimized for gaming consoles.
A noticeable trait is the TN (Twisted Nematic) LCD panel on RL2755-B, which is familiar on high-end gaming displays. This panel also enhances the gameplay smoothness by increasing the response rate, especially the fast-paced games.
The ghosting effect is minimized on the TN panel, but it comes with a compromised color production. The viewing angle is not too wide, which is a significant setback if you play with your friends.
The 1080p resolution looks very beautiful, but it’s not as detailed as 4K monitors. Nevertheless, this standard is optimized for gaming since it won’t push your consoles too hard.
I can feel the clarity and realistic trait when looking at BenQ RL2755-B, and there’s not much to complain about its picture quality. Another feature I love about this display is the Black Equalizer, which is crucial in a gaming monitor.
What this function does is spot the dark area on the screen and slightly increase its brightness. As a result, you’ll get more visibility when playing in the dark without compromising the ambient light.
Gaming
I have tested a dozen of popular games on BenQ RL2755-B, such as League of Legends, CS: Go, Apex Legends, and Call of Duty. The Color Vibrance feature automatically adjusts the color and gives me vibrant, realistic images.
The gaming experience is super smooth and satisfying with the 76 Hz refresh rate. There is virtually no ghosting effect, and the character’s movements are pleasing to watch.
The Black Equalizer really enhanced my playing performance when playing shooting games and the opponents trying to lurk in the dark. The color quality and brightness are also excellent on BenQ RL2755-B.
I also saw the more transparent details on the scenery and characters that I usually didn’t notice on the other Full HD gaming displays.
However, the limited viewing angle is a setback. It should not be too big of a problem when you sit directly in front of the display. The viewing angle will be compromised when I sit in front of the display and play with my friends.
